The Sandwich Board Man Gets Job After Two Years. A laid off toy company executive became the poster child for the unemployed in the United States after losing his job in late 2008. Paul Nowrocki was interviewed on CNN, gave out hundreds of resumes, and was followed by reporters from South America.

Paul Nowrocki tells of his journey from well to do to almost homeless in two years. Nowrocki had to take a second mortgage and was six months behind waiting for the foreclosure call that never came.

He gained fame for his fortitude in making himself a poster child post it note, but one has to admire his fortitude.

Now, that he has a job, everyone is happy not only for Nowrocki but for the good news from the economic weather vane that Nowrocki has come to represent. Nowrocki who is 59 and lives in Beacon, New York, must now play catch up with his finances, but at least he has hope.

This is a relief for not only Paul Nowrocki but for the nation. In the photo, he is standng in front of David Letterman’s Late Show.
