College of the Ozarks. College of the Ozarks is 20-10 overall, finishing third in the MCAC conference at 9-3. Ozarks is no stranger to the national tournament; as the host school they gain automatic entry into the tournament playing for the 14th time in the national tournament and first matchup with Cornerstone. Ozarks has a 22-12 record in the national tournament including a national championship in 2006 along with two other championship game appearances, one of which was last year when Ozarks fell just short to conference foe Oklahoma Wesleyan 60-53.
Ozarks lost several key players off last year’s finals team, but have reloaded. Lead offensively by junior Jared Howerton along with freshman Mike Wiebe and Derrick Williams, Ozarks have stayed in the hunt and are capable of making another run in the national tournament.
